Pre Note: Not everyone watch anime and so i forgot to point out which character is who. Nana is second from the top, Hachiko third from the top,Takumi is next to Hachiko. Nobu is second in the second row from the top.

I was watching nana anime when one of the sub theme that come up was why hachi repetitively kept sleeping with men that hurts her.

You see in nana anime both characters are actually named nana which means 7 in
japanese and so the goody2 nana is nickname hachiko ( 8 in japanese) You see hachi likes takumi form trapnest( she idolized him) but the one she really loves is nobu who is in the same band as nana.

You see nana is punk grudge rock star type of girl who wear vivienne westwood,heavy eye shadow and black leather jacket with equally black short skirt. Hachiko on the other hand is what you called lolita type of girl. Curled hair,pink outfit,nails decked with french manicure and stars. But their love relationship is way different. You might think that nana is the one who is promiscuous and hachi is 1 sex partner. But it is 360 degree different. Hachiko slept with more men than nana. Nana only sleeps with ren and has been on the relationship steadily. Hachiko on the other hand kept sleeping with men that makes her feels like she is doing something wrong and should be ashamed of.

On the night that Hachiko was supposed to break it off with Takumi, she failed and as a result she slept with Takumi again when she know it is the worse thing to do when it is going to hurt Nobu. As the scene of Hachiko doing sex with Takumi she said "I know what I am doing is bad and I am sure people will not understand but being with Takumi makes it right because he TOO understand it" *updates: in volume 6,Hachiko moves in with Takumi..so does it mean he loves her and she too but then Nobu also said that Nobu will wait for her forever and he will always takes her back*

So really that opens up a whole chapter of question, when you are deep in shit with somebody or situation, it's not that you can't get out but only you will not pull yourself out of that hole. The people that causing you all those hells may or may not realized it but they are doing it to you because they are using you to achieve their own ends. People that you thought might not understand you if you tell them actually a whole lot nicer and you have to have a little bit of courage. Sometimes they even have mutual understanding that they can't help you if you won't let them. So sometimes we just need to put ourselves out there.
