Pilgrimage

Aside from Chechnya, most of us doesn't know that Russia actually has 26 M of Muslim. For the first time in many years, the muslim can actually go to Mekah to do the annual pilgrimage.

Religion is frown upon in Russia and any display of it strictly controlled by the government. The government no longer practice the same code that it imposed before because of the relationship it trying to culture with Saudi. Thus, Russia open the path to allow Muslim to do the pilgrimage.

See, not everything about business is bad. It brings profits to others in many miraculous way.

running a marathon

I am going to be so busy next week and the week after that. But i just want to take a break just for a bit on this Friday afternoon.

Well actually I don't think I have the energy in reality to study and get things done. But I always think this way if I fix my thoughts and will into one thing I can get things done. So I fool my mind thinking hey I can do work even if I sleep 4 hours a day and drinking coffee give me a rush and I can do work more and more until every night whenever I go into my bed my head is spinning and I feel like throwing up.

Apparently this technique is use even by athletes. They dissociate their minds from their body. Our body can always do better. They only need to be pushed but we need to find a safe way to push ourself because we can ignore the pain and keep going but when we stop then all the fatigue and sickness will attack.

Related by an archaeologist to a scientist, the monk in Tibet run 300 miles in 30 hours which means they run 1 miles in 6 minutes. The secret is every time they fixate their mind on a distant object such as mountain peak and synchronize their breathing with their locomotion.Every time a foot hit the ground they would also repeat a mantra.

Thus, people I am going to fix my thought on Wed after next week, sync my energy and every time I feel like I am going to be dead I am going to say, "Coffee".

Clean new slate

Okay I am bored with my skins and can't find skins that I like so I decide to wipe out everything and start with clean plain slate. Hahaha. I also like the new old song by Sinatra titled "Moon River". So that's that.Final is next week and I should get start on studying. 2 weeks more to California and the pacific sea...Everything is check. I got my flights and hotels all booked.

I was reading an article titled "Self-Critical? Unhappy?Maybe You’re Just a Perfectionist" and it rings truth. By now I am sure most people know I am against perfectionist.

Trying to be perfect is fine if you apply it to your work. For example a surgeon. I mean if his technique is not fine, well then we can only say goodbye to our lives. But it is problematic when the need to be perfect is applied to daily life, domestic life and hobbies.

The culture that we're living also idolized perfection. The perfect hair flip, perfect score and perfect whatever. All doesn't leave a single space for a mistake. They say you can learn from your mistake but since we're all trying so hard not to mistakes on our own no wonder we are not learning anything nowadays.

"Believe in yourself. Don’t take no for an answer. Never quit. Don’t accept second best."

Now think about above quotes for a moment. They're all the maxims that have been ingrained in our brain since we were small children. Now what's wrong with these ideas?

It teaches people not to accept anything less that success. We become obsessed with the idea of perfection we pushed it to other people. That strains the relationship around us. But again since we are told " Believe in ourself and don't accept second best" we always think we are right and there we go living in our own wonderland.

There's nothing wrong with having a messy desk or taking a break once awhile. Oh well if you can't tolerate your worst once in awhile, how true can you be to yourself?
